Fatherhood to the Fatherless, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit organization established in September 2024, with a mission to empower African American males navigating life without a father figure. Our purpose is rooted in faith, love, and personal growth, creating a nurturing environment where individuals can heal, thrive, and discover their God-given purpose. Founded by Daryl J. Webb Sr., who grew up fatherless, the organization exists to fill the void left by absent fathers. Through mentorship, spiritual development, and community engagement, we aim to break cycles of fatherlessness and inspire resilience and success for generations to come.

The Vision of Our Founder

Daryl J. Webb Sr., the visionary founder and CEO of Fatherhood to the Fatherless, Inc., has a deeply personal and faith-driven story that shaped the creation of this transformative organization. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and raised in Indiana, Daryl faced profound challenges from a very young age. At just six years old, he experienced the heart-wrenching loss of his father. This devastating event left him without the guidance, support, and emotional connection that a father traditionally provides, forcing him to navigate life without a key figure who could show him the way. This early experience of fatherlessness became a defining moment in Daryl’s life, one that would set the stage for the passion and purpose he would later channel into his mission to break the cycle of fatherlessness.

As he grew older, Daryl’s sense of purpose began to solidify. He became deeply aware of the impact fatherlessness has not only on individual lives but also on communities as a whole. Determined to change the narrative for others like him, Daryl set out to make a difference. In 2012, he founded ATN: Above the Norm, a nonprofit organization aimed at encouraging youth to rise above the societal limitations imposed on them by their circumstances. The mission was to inspire young people to see beyond the labels society placed on them and to realize their extraordinary potential. Though circumstances led to a pause in the work of ATN, Daryl’s faith and drive never wavered, and his desire to make a lasting impact continued to burn within him.

During this period of pause, God stirred something even deeper in Daryl’s heart. The idea of fatherhood, mentorship, and the profound need for positive male role models never left his thoughts. Over the years, countless conversations about the realities of fatherlessness kept reaffirming his belief that he was called to do something even bigger. As he meditated on this, a powerful sense of divine purpose began to surface. It became clear that he was not just to create another nonprofit organization, but rather to establish a movement that would impact generations.

In March 2024, Daryl received a prophetic word from Prophet Allen Lewis, confirming what Daryl had long felt in his spirit. The prophecy spoke directly to the vision and purpose that had been quietly growing in his heart for years. The message from God was clear: Fatherhood to the Fatherless, Inc. was not just an idea, but a divine assignment. This profound revelation filled Daryl with awe and renewed determination. With God’s confirmation, Daryl was emboldened to step into the fullness of his calling, turning the pain of his own experiences into a passionate drive to empower others.

Fatherhood to the Fatherless, Inc. was born from this renewed calling. The organization’s mission is centered on empowering African American males of all ages by providing a nurturing and faith-filled community where they can heal, thrive, and discover their God-given purpose. Through programs like Empowerment Sessions, Fatherhood Connects, Spiritual Development, and Life Skills Training, the organization aims to break the cycles of fatherlessness, build strong and resilient men, and ultimately transform communities.

Daryl’s journey is a testament to the fulfillment of the scripture found in Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart.” His life and work reflect God’s plan to use his personal pain for a greater purpose.
